Start off your year by gaining momentum! The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results. How can you kickstart momentum in your life?

Maybe you want momentum in your health, in your finances, in your relationships, in your business, etc. Join us as we take this journey together on how to gain momentum. God desires for us to progress and move forward. He desires for us to have momentum. On Sunday, January 7th we begin our church-wide 21 day Spiritual Emphasis with a focus on prayer, fasting, and reading God's Word through a weekly reading plan.

This year, let’s begin with a renewed commitment to prayer and fasting to focus on God and what He is calling us to.

prayer

God desires to move in power and the best way we can see God move and be alive and active is in our time with prayer. Prayer takes the attention off of everything including ourselves and puts the attention completely on Him. Prayer will make us aware of God's activity in our life and those around us.

  • Wednesday Night Prayer, 7PM in the Main Auditorium
  • Set a personal daily prayer goal: morning, afternoon, or evening

Fasting

Fasting abstains from something to focus on God. Through fasting you draw closer to God, pray with greater effect, hear His voice more clearly, and experience breakthrough. We fast because sometimes our capacity to hear God gets cluttered and we want to remove all the debris that could keep us from hearing and seeing clearly. Fasting hits our spiritual reset button.

Ways to Fast:

  • Fast 1, 2, or 3 meals a day
  • 21-Day Daniel Fast
  • Water only fast
  • Intermittent Fasting
  • fast media (tv, movies, social media)

Bible engagement

Encounter Jesus, grow spiritually, and experience real transformation by meeting Jesus in the pages of Scripture. Research shows that engaging with God's Word at least 4 times a week has a dramatic impact on everyday life. You are more likely to reflect the fruit of the Spirit, share your faith with others, and volunteer in church. Each time you approach God's Word, remember that it is powerful and living. The Bible can transform lives, comfort, admonish, and guide in any situation (Hebrews 4:12). We pray the Holy Spirit ignites a fresh passion for God's Word in your life.

bible engagement in community

Study God's Word in community with others using the Bible Engagement curriculum. In your small group or class you will meet together to engage with the Bible through videos, reading Scripture, and discussion. Bible Engagement curriculum is age aligned for preschool, kids, youth and adults so they navigate the same Scriptures at the same time, which encourages families to grow in their faith together. Additionally, family devotionals in the app equip families for discipleship at home and guides conversation regarding weekly Bible reading.
