I said "yes!"...now what?

Maybe you were in service and lifted your hand, or maybe your crew leader walked through the gospel with your personally. Either way we are so excited that you decided to make the choice to follow Jesus!

Here are some practical steps you can take as you learn what it means to be a disciple of Christ:

  • water baptism

Water baptism is a great way to share this decision with the people in your life. Baptism is a symbol of that decision to follow Jesus. Even Jesus got baptized. Click here to sign up for water baptism.

  • build your community

After God created man, He said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” We were not made to do life alone.

  • spend time with jesus

God knows us on even deeper levels and wants us to know Him, too. How do I get to know God like that, you ask? He gave us something that can show us His heart and all that he desires for us: the Bible. Try starting with the gospel of Mark!

S.O.a.p. method

Questioning how to read your bible? Don't know where to start? Check out this method to help you as you learn how to read your bible!

  • Read a passage in the Bible to understand what God wants to speak to you. Pick a verse that stands out to you and write it in your journal yourself

  • What is God saying in this Scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and explain Jesus’ message in your own words in your journal.

  • Make it personal and think about how these verses relate to your life now. Write about how they can apply to you today.

  • Keep it simple. Ask God to help you use this Scripture or understand what He’s trying to say. Remember, prayer is a conversation, so listen to what God might be saying and write about it in your journal.
